Hi, thanks for stopping by. I'm Daniel Machín, 22 years old, and I've been passionate about VFX, computers, and technology since my teenage years. I was born in Valladolid, Spain. However, after completing my secondary education and high school, I made the decision to pursue my interests and study at ESCAC film school in Barcelona. I had previous experience as a "camera operator" and started directing the photography of numerous short films. However, I later discovered that it didn't fulfill me as staying behind the screen and making "magic." All the experience I gathered while operating and directing has really helped me with VFX, enabling me to understand many concepts and develop a vision. The past three years have been quite an adventure, filled with continuous learning and daily hard work.
After completing the first year of the VFX course at ESCAC, I was hired by PIJAMA STUDIO, a local postproduction company. There I gained seven months of valuable work experience in VFX, primarily in advertising. Being the sole VFX artist at the studio, I had the privilege of collaborating firsthand with well-known brands from various industries and gained insights into advertising productions in Barcelona. After my time at the Studio, I returned to ESCAC to complete my education and finalize both past and present projects.
It has been an incredible journey which has allowed me to grow both personally and professionally, learning, polishing my skills and making new friends. I now stand at the threshold of embarking on my professional career, seeking opportunities to join a VFX company that values emerging talents. I aspire to be able work abroad and fulfill my dream of participating in international VFX. I am eagerly looking forward to making new acquaintances.
